UWC Student Portal is the term to call a student portal provided by the University of the Western Cape. This one will allow you to view your selection status, results, academic history, student account and personal details. Aside from that, this site will also allow returning undergraduate and postgraduate students to register online.

For those who want to get to UWC Student Portal, the first thing that you have to do is to open the official website of University of the Western Cape. When you are in the homepage, please focus on the top center of the page. It is where the categories are located. Among them, you will be able to see a thing called Online Service. Once you clicked this category, you will be able to see student portal in the list.


Apparently, UWC Student Portal is currently experiencing high load volumes. In this case, the representative of UWC Student Portal advices you to check your email periodically as your results are currently being mailed to you. In addition, this portal will become available as load volumes decrease. Therefore, please keep visiting the portal regularly in case the site is available for you.

If you want to view your exam results, it is better for you to use Internet Explorer (IE) as your web browser. In case you are experiencing timeouts when refreshing the results screen, please exit and reload your web browser. For some cases, results are provisional and are subject to change. Even though the University of the Western Cape has put all the efforts to publish the results accurately, some errors may occur. The error itself does not give the student the right to a pass mark the award of the certificate, diploma, or degree.

As stated before, UWC Student Portal is currently experiencing high load volumes. In this case, you are better to know some other online services served by the University of the Western Cape. There are some of them aside from UWC Student Portal. The first one is online applications. The application forms for enrollment are available online and prospective students are able to apply online. These kinds of form are also can be used for undergraduate as well as postgraduate students both full time and part time studies. The second one is iKamva which is also known as Sakai eLearning platform. This one is institutional LMS or Learning Management System that enables lectures to explore the application of eLearning, especially various eTools for teaching and learning purposes. The third one is new leave system (on campus). This one is for the staff to apply for leave online. The last one is called iEnabler. This one is for help and support contact the Information and Communication Services (ICS) Service Desk through email at servicedesk@uwc.ac.za or helpdesk@uwc.ac.za. There is also a UWC Helpdesk number that you can use if you want to ask some questions. Please dial 021 959 3900/01/02 and talk directly to the representative of UWC Student Portal.
