UiTM which is short for Universiti Teknologi MARA is the biggest institution of higher learning in terms of size and population. This one has experienced phenomenal growth since the inception in 1956 and it is still growing.
Aside from the major campus of Universiti Teknologi MARA in Shah Alam, this university has added twelve state campuses out of which seven are state autonomous campuses, six satellite campuses based in Shah Alam, eleven state satellite campuses and 21 affiliated colleges.
