Southwestern College (SWC) was built in 1961. It is one of 114 public community colleges in the state of California and the only institute of higher education which is located in the southern portion of San Diego County. Its location is nestled between the City of San Diego and the U.S. Mexico international border on a 156-acre plot position it to play an important role on the intellectual growth of the more than 400,000 residents that call South County home. There are about 20,000 students every semester which are served by this college and also more than 320 associate degree and certificate options are offered. Besides, it also offers a host of noncredit courses designed to enhance personal and professional development. In Southwestern College, you will be provided WebAdvisor SWC. WebAdvisor is a system which is online and it can permit students to register for classes, to stay connected by opening a Web Account to receive important registration information and to view open/ closed class lists. Before we go further about WebAdvisor, let’s find out about mission statement of SWC. Southern Community College District provides services to various community of students by providing a variety of dynamic and high quality academic programs and comprehensive student services which includes those offered through distance education. Now, let’s go back to WebAdvisor. The hours operation of swccd WebAdvisor is from Monday through Sunday from 5:00 am to 12:00 midnight. There will be system maintenance which will occur from Monday through Sunday from 12:00 midnight to 5:00 am. If you want to use WebAdvisor to register for classes, to get information or to see open and closed class list, you need to log in. To do SWC WebAdvisor login, the first thing that you have to do is to visit webadvisor.swccd.edu. Then, in the upper right side of the page, you will see Log In. Just click that. After that, you will login by entering your User ID and password. Now, WebAdvisor uses your MySWC username and password to log you in to the system. So, make sure that you have setup a MySWC account. If not, visit the MySWC Info site for help with setting one up for the first time. In most cases, the new MySWC username of yours will be similar as your old WebAdvisor username.
