In 1967, Springfield Technical Community College was built. It is a resources which are primary for the economic vitality of Western Massachusetts. In STCC, there is Webadvisor which allows students to be able to view grades, class schedules, and financial information. This service is where students have the ability to register for courses and make changes to their schedule. Once they logged in, their WebAdvisor account will be used to log into campus computers and printers on campus. They can set up a payment plan, request a parking or bus pass and waive the health insurance on WebAdvisor.

Since March 22, 2018, they are testing new functionality within STCC blackboard. This new technology is named ReadSpeaker and it permits students to use a text to speech generator to read content on Blackboard. The tool can be accessed by using the control which is located at the bottom of the navigation panel of your course.

STTC also provides STCC bookstore. This bookstore is located o the 1st floor of Building 20, and it can be reached at 413-755-4431. You are able to buy the books and materials that you need for your classes and you can make a purchase online or in person. This bookstore operates from Monday to Friday at 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. For payment methods, they accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover Card. You have to present your credit card if you make in-store purchases or asking refunds. Note that they do not accept personal checks. For book buy-backs, they buy back books from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm during regular business hours. You need to bring a valid STCC RAM Card or State ID.

In addition, STCC also provides STCC financial aid. This program is available for students who need help with paying for their college education. There are some qualifications for getting financial aid.

  • Have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  • Be a U.S. citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Be registered and accepted into a degree granting or eligible certificate program
  • Be in good academic standing
  • Maintain satisfactory academic progress toward your degree
  • Certify that you are not in default on a federal student loan or owe money on a federal grant
  • Enroll with Selective Service, if required

The Department of Education needs all applicants to meet certain eligibility requirements and if there are any conflicts, it will be resolved by Student Financial Services. Besides, the Department of Education randomly chooses a percentage of applicants to complete a process which is called Verification. If you are chosen for verification, you need to provide Student Financial Services with copies of the documents used to complete the FAFSA.
